How to Treat Pool Staining and Water Discolouration
What causes water discolouration and staining?
Water discolouration and staining can be attributed to a variety of things; metals and minerals present in the water and improper water balance. If your pool is green and has slimy feeling walls.
I have discoloured water and/or stains in my swimming pool water what do I do?
Discoloured water can be treated and cleared in your swimming pool. Staining on pool surfaces may be removed or can be permanent.
Follow the following steps to ensure that you correctly remove the water discolouration in your swimming pool environment:

With pool pump circulating, pour 150ml per 10,000L of CALYPSO FERROUS around the perimeter.

Allow pool to circulate for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, pour 80ml per 10,000L of CALYPSO QUICK around the pool perimeter (sand filter only). Allow pool to circulate for 4 to 6 hours then turn off pool pump.

Let pool sit undisturbed overnight.

Next day, set the filter on waste or drain then vacuum the deposits on the bottom of the pool.

For surface staining above waterline, clean stained area with WINNER. See label for instructions.

Clean sand (or cartridge) filter using CALYPSO PURE.
